A North Georgia Adventure!

Recently me, the wife and 9 friends decided to go chill in the Blue Ridge mountains. We rented a DOPE ass cabin on a private mountain that had 3 floors and included a game room with a bar, hot tub and room for 16 people to sleep! On the way up, the wife and I even stopped north of Hotlanta at Blankets Creek mountain bike park! Well, after the drive from Jacksonville, we all kind of just hung out the first night (alcohol anyone? lmao). The next day however is when the REAL fun started..

The next day we had made zip line reservations just outside of Copperhill, Tn. with "Raft One Canopy Tours". It consisted of 7 zips that totaled over a mile in length, some over 125 ft in the air! It took about 3 hours and at no time did I feel scared. Granted, I was a tad apprehensive as it was my first canopy tour, but that is to be expected. Basically, it was nawts yo!

Well the next day whitewater rafting was on the agenda! We used www.OcoceeRafting.com and the experience was amazing. I had been rafting previously, but not with good friends as it was years ago in the Boy Scouts (yea yea lol). These were class III and class IV rapids on the Ocoee River that were fairly hardcore. Check out our video of our rafting, its pretty epic.

After we whitewater rafted, my buddy Mike and I rolled over to a trail called Brush Creek in Tennessee that a local guy recommended and it was pretty rad! A short in and out trail that was about 7 miles each way.

The next day, we decided to ride out to North Carolina and hit up Jack Rabbit Mountain mountain bike park. This was recommended by a friend on the SORBAJax.com board and it certainly didn't disappoint! There were trails for every skill level and were in impeccable shape. My favorite trail had a ton of rolling bmx style jumps every like 30 feet it seemed, lol. Since I ride stupid that was perfect for me!

On our second to last day we decided to hit up a local water fall. Well, unbeknownst to us it was 5 miles off road on a state park mountain road which had huge ass rocks on it. Drove our lowered Integra and it rode like a champ, but slowly. We walked on the Benton McKaye trail, the Appalachian Trail and hung out at Long Creek Falls. Randomness, Mike found a box that had some stamp and a notebook to list what you did at the falls in a tree safely tucked in Tupperware!

The final day we woke up to "BEAR TRAP" as a bear had decided to destroy our garbage lol. So at 8am we were all out picking up garbage.

Check out my You Tube channel "CDSCIVIC" for videos of the trip!
